My name is Deb Earl and I am a proud mother of three human boys and two canine Husky boys.
I have always had a passion for animals and animal care as long as I can remember.
I was given the opportunity to join the awesome team at Torquay Animal House Vet clinic in 2018 and begin my dream of becoming a veterinary nurse. During this time I was asked to teach their puppy preschool program in 2020, I found this a very rewarding.
Like many trainers, my journey started with my own dog that I was having trouble understanding. At this time I was given lots of advice, some good and some bad. Wanting to do the best that I could for my dog I started studying canine training and behaviour.
I have recently started my own training business “positive & Pawsome” which runs Puppy preschool from our vet clinic, Adolescent & Adult training classes and Private one on one Behaviour training consultations at home.
My goal is to work closely with families and their dogs to find techniques which will work for them. My training is not based on the use of pain or intimidation. I also believe that most behaviour training is not an 'overnight fix' and needs time, but I also recognize that not everyone can commit hours to training each day.
My Qualifications are:
Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing
Australian Veterinary Behaviour Services – Puppy Preschool
Currently studying Cert IV in Canine Training and Behaviour – Delta Institute.
Professional Member of Pet Professional Guild Australia
